1. How did you become interested in your job?

It started in the summer of 1994 when McGraw Custom Construction hired me as laborer.

I have always enjoyed building things, but the experience and fun that I had that summer really push me to go learn more.


2. What training or education have you had for your job?

  • High school diploma
  • 12 years experience in construction
  • 10 month Tech-program at North Idaho College in 1995-1996

3. What is your favorite part of your job?

Taking nothing and turning it into something!

I also enjoy working with the public and problem solving.

4. What is the starting pay for someone starting in your position that you started at?

When I started it was $10 to $12 now its $14 to $16.

6.  What advice would you give a teen thinking about a similar career?

Push yourself to learn something new every day and never stop achieving new goals.
